In Montepulciano, one has to visit the Basilica di S.Biagio and the shops where they sell typical products. Also to be mentioned, a visit to the vintners in the centre of the town, to taste the Vino Nobile. We continue to Pienza, a perfect example of the early Renaissance idealised by Pope Pio II. Visit the Palazzo Piccolomini and the museum. There are numerous shops where they sell wonderful pecorino (sheep’s milk) cheese. Trip: 50 km |
